Folegandros: With its impressive “Chora”

Between Milos and Sikinos, there is a small, rocky and narrow island, called Folegandros. Its name came from the name of the son of Minos, King of Crete.

Karavostasis is the harbour of the island, where you can get access to the dark-coloured beach of Vardia. Tourist boats sail around of the island, past the caves of Georgitsi and Chrysospilia with the superb stalactite and stalagmite formations.

You should also visit the great monastery of Panagia , with a unique view of the entire island and the churches of Eleoussa, Pantanassa and Agia Sophia, located in the district of the castle, that is built literally on the edge of the cliffs.
