Dodecanese is a group of islands located in the southeastern part of the Aegean Sea. The prefecture Dodecanese actually consists of several islands, islets and rocks, than the name suggests it. Most islands of the complex located opposite the Turkish coast.

The Dodecanese islands comprise the islands of Agathonisi, Arki Astypalea, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kasos, Kastelorizo, Kos, Leros, Lipsi, Nisyros, Patmos, Rhodes, Symi, Tilos, Halki, Pserimos.Its capital is Rhodes.
